Sudarshan Rangmanch
It is a cosy and petite intimate theatre conveniently located in the heart of the city Pune. Though small, the theatre is well equipped with stage lights and audio equipments. It accommodates about 150 spectators.
Su-darshan Rangamanch was inaugurated on the 31st March, 2003 at the hands of great writer and director Pt. Satyadev Dubey, in the presence of eminent personalities such as Dr. Shreeram Lagoo, and Smt. Sulabha Deshpande. The inauguration was followed by a 10 day theatre festival.
Since its establishment, Su-Darshan Rangamanch has become the only ‘one of its kinds’ place for parallel theatre groups and theatre lovers in Pune. Many amateur groups from all over Maharashtra have been regularly performing here. The theatre and all the necessary amenities are made available to them at a very reasonable cost. Three medium-sized halls adjacent to the theatre cater as lodging facilities for the outstation groups. New plays, as well as music and dance programs are performed at Su-Darshan throughout the year.
